At some point, we got tired.
It might have been all the circling back (or maybe it was from grabbing so much low hanging fruit?) but we were definitely tired of nonsensical corporate jargon, dull meetings, and billionaire buffoons.
In protest, we shifted our shopping to small businesses and saw passionate business owners that... well, they needed help. Wasted spaces, concepts needing refining, messy displays, drab store fronts, dirty fixtures, too much merchandise, too little merchandise! We saw so much lost opportunity and it drove us crazy knowing small businesses couldn't afford to lose any potential revenue to the big box bullies. Maybe we could be the boost on the playground they needed?
Enter Volta. Bespoke, curated and non-boring consulting services for small businesses designed with the everyday owner at heart. Our intention is to elevate, teach and bring out the best in every boutique, brewery, and space we can get our hands on!
Think of us like that guy who likes to rescue bars, but we're much nicer.

Meet Patti.
Patti (always with an i, never with a y) is a proud Jersey girl. Once an actor, she pivoted 10 years ago to retail, working at a NYC accessories showroom, a children’s clothing company as an Account Manager and now a corporate retail employee with a focus in e-commerce. Following everything fashion on Instagram, planning family parties obsessively, and testing different versions of dirty martinis didn’t fulfill her creative needs. Enter her past coworker and boom, you’ve got Volta. This journey, unlike the others, is all about Patti and Jenna, their years of knowledge, their artistic visions, and their goal to help those around them to succeed.
Patti has a BA in Theater from Montclair State University. She is married to Rob, they have 2 sons and her favorite color is orange.
Meet Jenna.
With over 18 years in retail, Jenna (always Jenna, never Jenny) started at the bottom as an intern crying in the stockroom of a luxury store and rising to in-store management positions for specialty retailers. 8 years ago, she pivoted to corporate retail (where she met Patti as an Account Manager!) and currently works within merchandise planning and allocations. Ironically, she failed college algebra multiple times and now algebra is part of her day job so she is eager to flex her creativity and develop small businesses with Patti.
Jenna has a BBA in Visual Merchandising from LIM College. She is married to Bhauraw, they have 2 cats and her favorite color is usually purple.
